“Be real with the people”: Amy Schumer, Who Almost Replaced Margot Robbie in Barbie, Blasts Hollywood Stars for Rampant Drug Abuse to Lose Weight
Weight loss exercises and diet are extremely prevalent in the world no matter where one is. Some do it for health purposes while others try to gain a particular body image that comes with losing a great amount of weight. Most commonly, the entertainment and modeling industries are the body that pushes this idea of a perfect body most dedicatedly.
Recently Amy Schumer went on a weight loss journey via a medical procedure and called out her fellow Celebrities for hiding the use of Ozempic (a medical drug for Diabetes II patients). She further urged them to be open about their weight loss story with fans and people who took inspiration from the celebrities.
Amy Schumer Called Out Fellow Celebrities On Lying About Weight Loss Techniques
There are so many methods to lose weight out there ranging from diet and exercise to straight-up medical procedures like Liposuction. One Hollywood celebrity who has undergone a major weight loss transformation is Amy Schumer.
She has been very open and vocal about the whole thing, however. Instead of giving out diet and exercises as the method the actress has openly shared her liposuction (fat removal medical procedure) journey.
Speaking on it recently on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, she called out those celebrities that go on to lie about their weight loss journey. Schumer particularly pointed out those who made use of the Diabetes II drug Ozempic known to contain semaglutide known for causing weight loss as a side effect. She urged celebrities using the drug or other procedures to be open saying,
“Be real with the people,”
Furthermore, the I Feel Pretty star also opened up about using semaglutide at some point. However, in her case, the effects were not “livable” as she felt sick and tired due to its use. Taking this into account, being open and transparent about the method employed to lose weight seems to be important.
Other Celebrities That Have Openly Admitted To Using The Diabetic Drug
It is pretty popular knowledge that losing weight is one of the toughest things to achieve and it requires intense effort from a person on the journey of weight loss. But there are medical drugs known to cause weight loss in people. One such drug is semaglutide, an active ingredient in the Diabetes II drug Ozempic.
As it comes to weight loss the side effects some doctors recommend it to non-diabetic patients looking for losing weight without diet or exercise.
Celebrities such as Chelsea Handler opened up about her use of the drug in January this year. Her anti-aging doctor had been the one to recommend the drug. Other celebrities include Dolores Catania, Amy Schumer, and Golnessa Gharachedaghi who have openly admitted using the drug.
