SUMMARY
  • Tim Burton is the mastermind behind some of the best movies and shows in Hollywood including Beetlejuice and Wednesday.
  • If Burton could somehow make Jenna Ortega's Wednesday and Astrid Deetz coexist, he can have a huge horror franchise.
  • Ortega is more than willing to work with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice co-star Winona Ryder again.

American director and film producer Tim Burton has established himself in the movie industry through his movies like Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and Batman. He has several accolades to his name, including an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award.

Interestingly, the 66-year-old can create a multiverse of his own by connecting Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with Wednesday. However, it’s not going to be a piece of cake as there are too many things to take care of before doing so. Risk is no doubt a double-edged sword, but if it hits, there’s no looking back. The Alice in Wonderland director might just pull off the biggest risk of his career if he is willing enough.

After almost 36 years, the director is back with a sequel to the original Beetlejuice, and also with almost the same cast, with the addition of Jenna Ortega. Now, what’s interesting to think about is whether Burton will take a step further and create a multiverse by connecting Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with the coming-of-age supernatural mystery television series, Wednesday.

Apart from being the director of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Burton is also the executive producer of Wednesday. Being an integral part of both allows him to connect them. If he can manage and introduce any character of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice in Wednesday Season 2, he can pull it off from there.

Since Ortega is both in Wednesday and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the director has the leverage to do it. He needs to somehow make Ortega be Wednesday Addams as well as Astrid Deetz in different timelines just like the MCU’s multiverse. Although the entire plan looks quite fascinating, it’s terrifying at the same time.

It will be the biggest risk of Burton’s career as there will be way too many details to figure out before making it happen. One mistake and both these franchises will suffer. However, if he manages to do this successfully, it will make one of the best horror franchises ever.

Jenna Ortega Is Genuinely Interested in Working with the Stranger Things Actress Again

If Burton ever manages to join Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Wednesday, there’s a good chance that fans can see Jenna Ortega and Winona Ryder sharing the same screen. Even without the plan of the multiverse, Ortega seems genuinely interested in working with Ryder.

Ortega was asked by GamesRadar+ and Inside Total Film about Ryder’s cameo in Wednesday Season 2. She said:

Man, that would be cool, but that girl is so busy. She really has no time, even trying to get to get together to do this, you know, it was [tricky]. So I don’t know about that but obviously, I would love to work with Winona again, and if it’s not on Wednesday, then it’s going to be on something else, I hope.

The Scream VI actress further said that she would love it if Ryder could have a cameo in the new Wednesday season, and that they always discuss it. As of now, the Girl, Interrupted actress is busy shooting Stranger Things Season 5, so there is no telling whether or not the cameo will happen.
