“Being intimate with Olivia helped my shame dissipate”: Elliot Page Kept His Intense Romance With Olivia Thirlby a Secret Even From His Family
Hollywood star Elliot Page recently released her memoir in which he details many of their experiences in the industry before coming out as transgender. Acting from a very young age, he has unquestionably made a name for themselves with movies such as Inception, Juno, and the Netflix series Umbrella Academy, etc.
And just as in his career, Page has also been in many romantic relationships including one with one of their Juno co-stars that got very intense and secretive at the same time. Even his mom had no idea that the pair were in an intimate relationship.
Elliot Page’s Intimate Relationship With Olivia Thirlby Was Kept Secret From Their Family
Throughout their career in Hollywood, Elliot Page has been romantically involved with various women. The actor came out as a transgender man in December 2020. As for his dating life, the Inception star has dated Kate Mara, Samantha Thompson, etc. Their relationship with Mara was short-lived but she definitely stole Page’s heart as he shared that Mara had been the first one he fell for when he had been suffering from a broken heart. The two remained close friends.

The one relationship that according to Page got very intense had been with his Juno co-star Olivia Thirlby. He detailed the relationship in their recently released memoir Pageboy. According to the Inception star, he got drawn toward Thirlby due to how “centered” and “capable” she seemed although they were the same age.
This attraction led soon made them get close and intimate with each other. Detailing on their experience he wrote,
“We thought we were subtle. Being intimate with Olivia helped my shame dissipate.”
However, despite being in such an intense relationship Page’s family never knew about it. According to the actor, their mom only thought the two had become “best pals”.
Other Relationships That Elliot Page Has Been Involved In
Out of many relationships, Elliot Page has been in a short-lived romance with Kate Mara. She opened up about it in their recently released memoir Pageboy Writing,
“The person I fell for after my heart was broken was Kata Mara”
And apart from that, the Juno actor was also in a relationship with Samantha Thomas. This one also did not last long. In 2017, he sparked dating rumors with choreographer Emma Portner. And the two tied the knot the following year. Unfortunately, the former couple decided to separate on mutual terms three years after their wedding.
