After months of property hunting, Hollywood diva Jennifer Lopez and her husband, Ben Affleck, finally found their dream nest. The couple is set to enter their new lavish mansion in the heart of Beverly Hills, Wallingford Estate. The two-acre stunning villa is situated in a prime location on Wallingford Drive, and the couple acquired it for $61 million.
The $61 million home has 12 bedrooms, 15 fireplaces, 24 bathrooms, and a troubled past that might worry the new mansion owners.
The previous owners of JLo and Ben Affleck’s new mansion had some legal troubles when they resided there. Going back to time, it was reported by La Opinion newspaper that in 2004 Curtis Somoza bought his house and was arrested and given a 25-year sentence for a Ponzi scheme scam. Then in 2007, Jeoung Lee, a South Korean businesswoman, purchased the home and mostly rented it for various events. In 2015, Majed Abdulaziz Al-Saud, a Saudi prince, acquired the property. As per The Hollywood Reporter, he was taken into custody by local police after an alleged assault of women. However, he was never prosecuted due to a lack of evidence to press charges against him.
In 2016, the mansion landed in Gala Asher’s hands, and the owner spent millions to make the house worth $60 million.
