Ben Affleck and the media certainly have a strained relationship. His talents, and accomplishments are greatly admired by his audience, but they also, at times, slam him for his personal antics. People have been closely watching everything, from his poker face to the sincere interactions he has with his wife, Jennifer Lopez.

For instance, back in 2004, the 50-year-old actor was a popular online meme subject. Most likely, everything began when the actor was implicated in the #MeToo movement and had accusations made against him as well.

It seems it has become a routine for him: entertaining interviews with Ben Affleck for promotional purposes that often devolves into controversial issues. Why?

Affleck has a history of acting inappropriately toward women, as we are all aware. In a 2004 interview, the actor was seen being very touchy with Canadian TV host, Anne-Marie Losique and making several inappropriate comments about her br*asts.

Ben Affleck Was Very Creepy In This 2004 Interview

The interview came a day after Ben Affleck backed the women who accused Harvey Weinstein of having se*xual relationships. But it backfired when netizens brought up how Affleck misbehaved with Hilarie Burton, the interviewer.

While Affleck later expressed regret for his behavior, he received further criticism for a subsequent incident involving a different interviewer. But this time, the situation was different.

He participated in a Box Office interview, joining the host, Anne-Marie Losique to promote his film, Jersey Girl. Ben Affleck asked her to sit on his lap while he petted her neck and smelled her hair during the episode.

“They (viewers) would like it better if you did the interview topless at the station, wouldn’t they?“, he implied in a s*xual way. Later in the clip, Affleck asked her if she has a boyfriend and added additional remarks about her br*asts being “suspiciously firm”.

“These bre*sts are very firm. I’m getting them t*tties out,” and “Are you wearing a n*pple ring?”

Was The Interview Taken Out Of Context?

Well, the interview received harsh criticism from many netizens, who were upset with Ben Affleck’s behavior. Interestingly, though, Anne-Marie Losique, later admitted that everything had been pre-written. She said, “You have to understand that we have done dozens and dozens of interviews like that,” while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It was for a show I was producing, so I was not at all a victim. When the cameras rolled, we would start to do that game. As soon as it stopped rolling, there was none of that. He never touched me in any improper way. He was very respectful, I must say.”

She continued by saying that the Gone Girl actor once invited the interviewer to his suite, but she adamantly declined.

“He said, ‘I would be more comfortable in my suite.’ I said, ‘Umm, no.’ I am not saying something would have happened, but I made sure nothing happened.”

Losique emphasized that there were 20 people present during the recording and that she and Affleck were aware the interview would be broadcast on television and the Internet.

The 2004 interview first appeared on the Canadian TV and magazine series, Box-Office. It was made public again the day after Affleck denounced Harvey Weinstein, the businessman who was accused by numerous women of se*xual assault and harassment. The actor, however, sparked criticism for his comments.
