According to an interview published in Vogue Magazine in 2022, the couple seemed madly in love and were gushing over each other uncontrollably.
Ben Affleck Can’t Stop Gushing About His Wife
It would not be wrong to say that Affleck and Lopez had gone through different beats in their respective lives before coming together this time after 20 years. They moved on, married, and even had children. However, according to the now-married couple, they never forgot about each other and how there had always been some real love going on between them.
There is something innately, magically kind, good, and full of love at the heart of who Lopez is, Affleck mentioned during the Vogue interview. He further expanded his statement and said,
“That’s exactly the person I remember from 20 years ago. Maybe she sees all the changes she’s made, whereas when I see her, mostly I just see someone who has retained, against the odds, the thing about her that always made her the most incredible to me: a heart that seems boundless with love.”
“The feeling never got away.” He continued, “She is my idea of the kind of person I want to be.” Affleck affirmed their love when the couple sat down for an interview with Vogue in 2002.
Jennifer Lopez On How Her Feelings Resurfaced
The On The Floor singer had even more nice things to say about her now husband, and how her feelings for Affleck never went away. Lopez mentioned that when they started talking again regularly, her feelings for the Air actor started resurfacing instantly in a very familiar way.
She said about Affleck, “I never shied away from the fact that for me, I always felt like there was a real love there, a true love there.”
She further extended her statement and mentioned,
“People in my life know that he was a very, very special person in my life. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real.”
So, it won’t be wrong to say that the rekindled couple never got over each other completely. And this time they have come together even stronger. However, only the future will tell whether this time they are in it for the long haul or not.
