Ben Affleck’s Early Role Line Was Dubbed Over by the Director
Ben Affleck who is well known for his roles in movies like Good Will Hunting and Batman vs. Superman has recently shared the humorous story of his early role. Even though many people across the globe are well aware of Ben Affleck and all the movies that he has done, very few know about Affleck’s role in the movie Buff the Vampire Slayer which was released in 1992.
During his interview with James Corden on his show The Late Late Show with James Corden, Affleck revealed that even his one-line from his early role was dubbed over by the director on the release of the film. Reportedly Affleck had played a very small role of a basketball player in the 1992 movie Buff the Vampire Slayer, and he was given only one line which read “Take it, man”. However, the director found Affleck’s voice so unwanted that even his single line was dubbed over.
Talking about this Affleck said “I felt really scared and then when I went to see the film with my friends… it sounded very different. And I realized at that moment that they re-recorded my line of dialogue. It was so bad. They needed me to be in the scene, but the director obviously said, ‘I can’t hear the voice again!'”
As amusing and embarrassing as this movement has been for Ben Affleck, it didn’t stop him from becoming one of the most successful actor, director, screenwriter, and producer in the entertainment industry.
