The paradise of actress Natalie Portman and dancer Benjamin Millepied is in trouble as the couple is reportedly working through their marital issues despite being embroiled in a cheating scandal. It was Millepied who cheated.
Portman and Millepied met on the sets of the 2010 film Black Swan and became friends as Millepied was the film’s choreographer. They later worked together on her 2018 film Vox Lux. The couple wed in 2012 on California’s Big Sur coast, and they have a son named Aleph and a daughter named Amalia.

A French outlet, Voici, reported that dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied cheated on actress-director Natalie Portman with a 25-year-old French woman whose identity was not disclosed at the time. But now it has been reported that Millepied has been spending time with glamorous young climate activist Camille Étienne.
But sources close to Portman and Millepied have shared, “They have not split and are trying to work things out. Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family.” They said that the extramarital affair was short-lived and it’s over and now the couple are working together to work through their marital troubles.
The sources further said, “He knows he made an enormous mistake and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together. Natalie is incredibly private and has no intention of playing this out in the media. Her biggest priority is protecting her children and their privacy.” They added that the actress is still trying to save her marriage.

Did Natalie Portman know about the affair before it was made public?
According to the publication, the Academy Award-winning actress had discovered Millepied’s extramarital affair in early March, noting that young climate activist Camille Étienne was spotted entering the same building as the dancer.
Page Six reports that it was an open secret on the set of Portman’s upcoming movie May December, which was filmed in November over 23 days, that she and Millepied were having problems. Adding fuel to the fire was Millepied’s absence from the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where Portman was promoting her upcoming project.
Portman appeared on the red carpet alongside co-stars Julianne Moore, Cory Michael Smith, Moore, Charles Melton, and director Todd Haynes to promote May December for the closing evening of Chimeres Americaines at Centre Pompidou.

According to numerous sources, the couple decided to separate last year, but they were able to reconcile thanks to hard work and a desire to save their union. However, this cheating scandal appears to be a setback.
Soon after the festival, Portman and Millepied were spotted spending time together at a Beyoncé concert in Paris. This was followed by pictures of them sharing a passionate kiss over dinner in France. Although their representatives have not yet responded to the news, it has been reported that the couple appear committed to resolving their differences.
During an interview in 2018 Portman recalled the couple’s meeting on the set of Black Swan as she said, “I met my husband on it, so I think I was in, like, dreamland. He was teaching me to dance. You know, one of those romantic [stories] … It was definitely exciting and fun. It was beautiful. I don’t know about instant. It was like I really got to know him and that was when it seemed like, ‘Oh, this is the person.’
Talking about Vox Lux, Portman said she enjoyed working with Millepied as he knows her so well and what her strengths and weaknesses are in dancing and he was able to create choreography very seamlessly and quickly because they had very little time. She added that it was fun to watch Millepied create because she doesn’t often watch him in the studio.
