Best Harry Potter Characters To Appear In Just One Film
When it comes to a franchise as huge as Harry Potter, it’s given that there are going to be so many characters appearing in every film. Of course, some of the important characters would make an appearance in almost every film like Dumbledore or Voldemort.
This doesn’t leave much space for other characters to stand out considering they just appeared in a single movie. Yet few of them managed to make an impact in the magical world of Harry Potter.
1. Gilderoy Lockhart
The Chamber of Secrets had a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher aka Gilderoy Lockhart. Agreed that the movie is the longest in the series and he had even a lot of screen time to develop in one way or another.
Thanks to his smug and selfish nature, he was obvious to everyone, including those who didn’t pay much attention to him. His arrogance made sure that the fans knew that something was fishy about his character. He wasn’t “Evil” but a sham who didn’t deserve all the fame and respect. Kudos to Kenneth Branagh who delivered such a strong performance! We can never forget him.
2. Cedric Diggory
Before he played the teen heartthrob vampire Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson had already left his mark as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was quite a surprise that Cedric made his debut in the fourth installment considering he was a famous student at Hogwarts.
Cedric was the perfect golden child of Hufflepuff and even for his dad. Let’s be honest, sadly, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are overlooked at least in the films. It was a big deal to have someone from Hufflepuff participate and stand a chance to win the Triwizard Tournament. He was a good person who was ready to help Harry and sadly had an unfair and tragic death in the series.
3. Professor Quirrell
The first Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts was Quirinus Quirrell. At first, he seemed to be a mannered and nice man who just stuttered and came off as a coward on multiple occasions.
Thanks to his nature, all of us were fooled and wouldn’t have suspected him to be the “bad guy”. It was quite scary that he had Voldemort living in his head.
4. Xenophilius Lovegood
Luna Lovegood was considered a weird character the moment she debuted in The Order of the Phoenix. So it makes sense her father is just as weird as she is! This was actually the trait of the Lovegood family which makes them such a treat in the franchise.
The Deathly Hallows Part 1 introduced Xenophilius Lovegood first at the wedding and later when the golden trio met him on Horcruxes hunt.
5. Aberforth Dumbledore
Even though we saw him in a photograph in The Order of the Phoenix, Aberforth showed up in The Deathly Hallows Part 2.
Aberforth showed up and save Harry, Ron, and Hermione when they were in serious trouble at Hogsmeade. He didn’t want to fight and considered it useless, yet he helped the heroes. He stayed in touch with Neville and everyone else at Hogwarts too. Fans can expect to see his younger version in the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
