Jim Parsons Felt James Earl Jones’s Guest Appearance Weird And Unsettling
The famous American television sitcom Big Bang Theory has been a fan favorite for twelve years. The show has continued to entertain the audience to this date. The series has the most talented cast members, and it ran on CBS from September 2007 to May 2019. However, it is not only the main cast that contributes to the show’s success but also the plethora of guest appearances. The show is notable for featuring a variety of stars, including Selena Gomez, who played Amy’s sister.
However, Jim Parsons Found James Earl Jones’s appearance on The Big Bang Theory set weird and Unsettling. The actor revealed that acting alongside the Star Wars actor was a career-changing experience. In a throwback interview with Us Magazine, Parsons revealed that he looked up to him and aspired to be like him.
The actor said Parsons said,
“I knew James Earl Jones, as the voice of Darth Vader, and CNN. But more than that, I knew of him from his long legacy of the highest art of acting … this inspirational orb of valiant actors that are floating out there, where you’re like, ‘One day I hope I get to be an orb like that. So there was something unsettling about the fact that he was there on our set in a weird way to me!”
Jim Parsons did admit that the guest star was great to work with, but the experience was kind of weird. The actor was also nominated for an Emmy Award for his remarkable performance in the series.
Jim Parsons Joked About James Earl Jones’s Appearance On The Big Bang Theory
Jim Parson enjoyed his time on the popular sitcom, but he couldn’t believe actor James Earl Jones was willing to play the game with him. Parsons’ mind games continued as he wondered if the actor was comfortable being in such a position on the sitcom.
He said,
“He was so kind! And so game to play! But it was that weird feeling of, are you sure you want to play with me? I don’t know if this is the right fit for you. It’s not because you’re not doing it well; it’s me! I blame myself!”
The Big Bang Theory actor then joked that perhaps he should’ve seen a therapist prior to the episode, given how overwhelmed he was with emotions.
The actor explained,
“It’s really psychotic,’ I mean, I really should have seen a therapist over an episode like that. It’s just crazy. We were in towels in the steam room together! I was shirtless with James Earl Jones!”
Although, recently, Kunal Nayyar’s dialogue in one of the show’s episodes caught everyone’s attention for making an insensitive remark about an Indian actress.
