When is Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Coming Out?

After the phenomenal response to Blue Eye Samurai season 1, Netflix renewed the animated action series for a second season. Over two years have passed since the debut of the show, and there has been no confirmed date for the series, except that it is coming out in sometime in late 2026 or early 2027 (via THR).
The first season released in November, so we might see another November release. The sophomore season will reportedly be a tighter affair, with What’s On Netflix reporting that it will have only 6 episodes.
Blue Eye Samurai Voice Cast

Maya Erskine will be returning to play Mizu, the eponymous samurai on the quest for vengeance in Japan. While the official cast has not been confirmed, it is likely that the principal cast of the first season will return. This includes Kenneth Branagh as Abijah Fowler, Masi Oka as Ringo, George Takei as Seki, and Randall Park as Heiji.
Creator Amber Noizumi has also teased that some characters who had died in the first season might be returning (via Comic Book).
What is the Plot of Blue Eye Samurai Season 2?

Season 1 of Blue Eye Samurai ended with Mizu capturing Abijah Fowler and heading to London to find other people to wreak havoc on and to find her father. While plot details have been pretty tightly closed, Polygon reported, based on new footage that debuted at Annecy, that Mizu and Fowler seemed to have gotten closer and he became more evil.
As Fowler starts his journey to reclaim England, Mizu will be seen in an underground fight match and will be instrumental in a peasant uprising. More details are expected to be out soon.
Will There Be a Season 3 for Blue Eye Samurai?

Creators Amber Noizumi and Michael Green have been pretty vocal about their plans for Blue Eye Samurai. The show was never meant to be just two seasons, and the creators mentioned that they had planned a three-season arc. This means that the London chapter is just a bridge to the showdown.
Michael Green had previously claimed that they had four seasons planned, but now the plan seems to be for three seasons. He told Collider,
Currently, we’re planning for three seasons. We have a second season pick-up; one hopes the third season will exist because we certainly have plans for it. We’re imagining three right now. I think we said four once in an interview, possibly with Collider, and it suddenly became ‘the lore!’ Things you say when you’re not used to being interviewed.
While a third season has not yet been announced, it might take a few more years for us to see the conclusion of this series.
