The Bond 25 Set Injuries Announcement

On Twitter, the official page for Bond 25 confirmed that a controlled set explosion went awry on set recently and injured one person as well as damaged a stage at Pinewood Studios outside London. The announcement reads:

“During the filming of a controlled explosion on the set of Bond 25 today at Pinewood Studios, damage was caused to the exterior of the 007 Stage. There were no injuries on set, however one crew member outside the stage has sustained a minor injury.”

This explosion and injury is just one on the list which has shaken up things on Bond 25. Earlier this year, reports went live confirming Craig had been injured while filming a stunt sequence while on location in Jamaica. The actor injured his foot badly enough that Craig required a ankle surgery, a procedure which requires a strict two weeks of rehabilitation. Thankfully, both of these injuries were recoverable, but they have left Bond 25 smarting.

The original release date was in October of 2019, but it was pushed back to 2020. This delay was due to the injuries as well as the exit of director Danny Boyle which caused Cary Joji Fukunaga to oversee the movie after the shake up. Hopefully, the production pulls through to give fans a treat of a movie.
