Brad Pitt Gets Hit By Karma as Former Wife Jennifer Aniston Sues Actor For $100M Amidst Legal and Domestic Abuse Trouble With Angelina Jolie
The Friends actress Jennifer Aniston is planning to sue former partner and Hollywood actor Brad Pitt for 100 million dollars. Despite Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce battle, Brad Pitt has managed to annoy his other ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston. However, there is an ongoing legal dispute between the now-ex-couple regarding domestic abuse. According to reports, the Bullet Train actor is planning to sell Plan B – the production company he set up with Friends actress Jennifer Aniston, for a hefty pay-out has left her demanding a share.
According to reports, the couple is involved in a legal dispute stemming from the production company Plan B, which they started in 2001 while married. However, after the duo divorced, Brad Pitt took over the label in 2005. After the rumors swirling around that Brad Pitt is planning to sell it, Jennifer Aniston is allegedly suing him for 100 million dollars to dispute his entitlement to that money.
Another Legal Battle Is Brewing Between Brad Pitt And Jennifer Aniston
Famous actor Brad Pitt, 58, is already involved in a legal battle with another former partner, Angelina Jolie, so this new legal battle will only complicate things for him.
When Jennifer Aniston and Pitt ended their relationship, the production company was transferred to Pitt, but Aniston believes she was not given credit for founding it.
An insider told Heat World, “This is not just about money. As far as Jen’s concerned, what’s of equal importance is the principle.”
The source added,
“The bottom line is that she was a co-creator and founder of Plan B, and while it was technically passed onto Brad, she hasn’t had anything like the credit she deserved for building it up at inception – plus acting as a de facto consultant for many years when Brad needed to bounce ideas for projects or make big investments or business decisions.”
The insider continued,
“She [Aniston] at least expects acknowledgment and involvement assuming Brad’s sale goes through, plus the option to work with whoever takes it on.”
“Up until just a few years ago, Jennifer and Brad were brainstorming projects and scripts for the company, but it’s now emerged that Brad has had this sale in the works for quite some time, and it stings for Jen that she’s been blindsided and left out of the loop.”
“She still cares about Brad and doesn’t trash-talk him or anything like that. But at the end of the day, this type of incident is a brutal reminder that she’s still got those sensitivity issues she complained about all those years ago.”
The same source close to the actress told the outlet that if Pitt “wants to do right by Jen, he’ll dig into his pocket and cut her a cheque for $100m, which would be a drop in the ocean if this sale goes through.”
Among the company’s achievements are The Departed, 12 Years A Slave, and Moonlight, all of which won Oscars for Best Picture. Additionally, they appeared in blockbusters such as Troy and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory.
Brad Pitt’s Plan B May be to Sell Stake To Mediawan Production Group
Variety reports that Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment is in advanced talks to sell a significant stake to Mediawan, a fast-growing French production company.
There is more than one bidder, including Mediawan, backed by New York-based private equity firm KKR. It was founded in December 2015 by Xavier Niel, Matthieu Pigasse, and Pierre-Antoine Capton as a special-purpose acquisition company to acquire assets and operations in the media production and distribution business in Europe, aiming to become one of the largest platforms for European content.
Last month, Plan B Entertainment hired Moelis & Co. to search for a buyer or investor, run by Pitt and Dede Gardner.
