There is seldom an actor as versatile and talented as Bryan Cranston. As an actor, there is nothing he cannot do, from comedy and jester roles to drama and suspense sequences. He is an actor beyond compare, and the trophies on his shelf will agree. Cranston’s career kickstarted with Malcolm in the Middle and has been on a high ever since. His stint on Breaking Bad only brought him more fame and appreciation, consolidating his place in the industry.

The 67-year-old actor has big plans for his future. Bryan Cranston’s next project is Kung Fu Panda 4 in which he voiced Po’s father. The animated movie will be released in 2024 and fans are excited to see the star cast come back to the smashing franchise. He will also be seen in Argylle which also stars Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa. However, Cranston is not always after the lead role and is open to even being an extra if the project is related to the hit show The Office. Even though he believes Breaking Bad does not need another spin-off, he is open to being a part of The Office revival.

An Interview with Bryan Cranston | Office Ladies

While appearing on the Office Ladies podcast hosted by The Office veterans Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer, Cranston asked the actors about reviving the series and what it would include. Cranston is not new to The Office fandom as he has expressed his appreciation for the show many times and even directed one of the episodes in the ninth season of the hit show.

While Kinsey seemed excited about the possibility and claimed, “I would do it. I would do it for my kids, ‘cause I think they would think that’s fun,” Fischer hesitated a bit. She said she would only do it if Greg Daniels, the brain behind the show, returned and helmed the reboot. “OK, as long as Greg is writing it and he’s in charge of it, then I say yes,” she quips.

The affirmative answers from the cast perk up Cranston as he too wants to be a part of the reboot. People would think a senior actor like him would want a central role or even a recurring one to get more screen time, but he surprises everyone by saying he would be open to just being an extra on the show. It just goes on to prove how humble and incredible he is. When Kinsey proposes Cranston be a farm hand on Dwight’s iconic Beet farm, the Emmy-winner actor asks, “Now why would I be the hired hand and not the foreman?”

All hit shows become subject to conversations and speculations around reboots and revivals. While some release spin-offs, new seasons or even a reminiscent reunion episode like Friends, some shows do a movie for the silver screen like the upcoming movie on the superhit sitcom Community. The employees of Dunder Mifflin aka the cast of The Office seem open to the possibility of embracing Scranton and being with everyone on screen again. The show ended in 2013 and since then, fans have flocked to streaming websites to repeatedly rewatch the comfort show.

Even NBC is up for the chance at milking one of their most popular shows. The big question in the series creators’ minds is the remnant storyline that can add to the characters on the show. Daniels said to E! News, “People are more open to it now, it seems. The issue is, what is left to be said about the characters?” This even led to the creator saying no to the revival altogether. On the other hand, many fans feel the show is nothing without Steve Carell who exited after seven successful seasons of the show. The reboot will only be successful if fans of the show get all the original cast members back on screen.
