The former Disney star founded Northwood along with her husband Griffin Cleverly and engineer Shaurya Luthra in October 2023.

Mendler posted about her company’s funding on X (earlier Twitter) and wrote:

“We have our sights on building a data highway between Earth and space. We are designing shared ground infrastructure from first principles to expand access to space… We have a lot of work ahead of us but that’s the fun part….”

That means the aim of Bridgit Mendler’s Northwood is to produce grounded satellite stations that act as a highway of data communications between Earth and outer space. The startup received $6.3 million in funding, and Mendler even invited people who share the same passion as her to join Northwood and contribute to creating impactful solutions.

Bridgit Mendler Shares One More Remarkable Achievement

Now that fans are calling Bridgit Mendler a Barbie, 2024 Person of the Year, and an incredible achiever, she also shared one more remarkable achievement of becoming a mother. The former actress posted on her X (earlier Twitter) account and shared that she’s now a mother of an adorable 4-year-old boy.

“The other news I wanted to share is I’m a mama to a sweet 4yo boy. Started fostering in 2021 adopted near Christmas of 2022. I’m so lucky — being a parent is the biggest gift and most defining experience there is…that’s my news for now folks.”

Along with her career achievements, being a mother is the greatest gift Bridgit Mendler has been blessed with. The Ready or Not singer officially adopted her son around Christmas 2022, and now they are experiencing the joy of having a child.

During an interview with CNBC, Bridgit Mendler explained how space is getting easier and revealed that she “completely fell in love with space law”. The former actress is deeply involved in her startup, and currently, there’s no update on her returning to music or acting.
