Not only do the fans love to discover these clues, but they also care about what exactly is going to happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future. While sometimes they are just placed to tease the audience about something not that serious, sometimes, these Easter eggs mean a lot. The Blackbird
When the very first movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was released, it received multiple critical acclaims. Yes, it was Jon Favreau’s Iron Man starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, Terrence Howard as James Rhodes, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, and Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane. The plot of the film depicted the origin story of the titular character.
With that being said, this simply written flick established a new foundation of the superhero genre due to the fantastic performance from Robert Downey Jr. The film moreover included some really intriguing Easter eggs and the most prominent one showed up when the test run for Iron Man Mark II was ongoing. There, Tony Stark competes with the SR-71 Blackbird against the altitude record. However, this wasn’t something new as the spacecraft looked quite similar to that of the X-Men movies and comics.

After the massive success of Iron Man, the Marvel Cinematic Universe showed up with their second installment of the franchise and it was The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky, and Liv Tyler as Betty Ross. However, despite a story that originated from the Marvel comics and a powerful cast, The Incredible Hulk didn’t receive any success like other MCU films. As a result, Kevin Fiege and Marvel Studios decided to undergo a replacement process for Bruce Banner’s role in the film. Soon, by the time The Avengers was about to come, the franchise cast Mark Ruffalo to play the Hulk and that is what made the character fly high miles, even today.
Well, talking about the Easter egg in The Incredible Hulk, the film highlighted Hulk’s sidekick’s name in the opening scene of the movie. With that said, Rick Jones debuted in MCU with The Incredible Hulk, however, his name got flashed even before he appeared on the screen.
Wakanda, Namor, And Atlantis
After taking a break of around one year, the Marvel Cinematic Universe reappeared with the next-big-thing on screen. This time, it was the sequel of the 2008 released movie Iron Man. While the film again received some really positive reviews from Marvel fans and critics, it managed to become the 7th-highest-grossing film of the year 2010.
With that being said, the film was filled with quite some Easter eggs. However, the most prominent one showed up when Nick Fury took Tony Stark inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. facility to give him a brief. When they both were having a conversation, the map in the background was representing a mark over Africa, which was undoubtedly a pin to Wakanda. The second marker in the exact scene was a reference to Namor and Atlantis, respectively.
