Britney Spears Fails to Collaborate With Beyoncé to Mark Epic Comeback After 13 Years of Cruel Conservatorship
Beyonce was about to possibly give us 2023’s most iconic pop culture moment, unfortunately, it fell through. The Single Ladies singer wanted Britney Spears to feature in her latest music video and had asked her for the same as well. However, for some untold reason, the collaboration couldn’t happen, and the fans are utterly devastated. Both of the singers’ reps have been approached with the question but so far there hasn’t been any response.
The OG Beyonce and Britney Spears collaboration
If this iconic collaboration could have worked its way, it would have marked Beyonce and Britney Spears‘ second project together. Their first collaboration dates way back to 2004. Both of them, along with the pop star Pink, featured in the iconic gladiator-themed Pepsi commercial and sang Queen’s legendary song We Will Rock You. Another celebrity singer featured in the advertisement was Enrique Iglesias.
The Hold Up singer and the Toxic singer, both of whom are 41 – would have given their fans the highlight of 2023, had this collab happened. But reality often has other plans.
Quite a comeback for Britney Spears
In addition, this collab with the Halo singer would have marked the ‘Princess of Pop’s second musical stint since November 2021, after she got freed from her father’s 13-year-long conservatorship.
She made her musical comeback in August 2022, in collaboration with Elton John. They released a duet titled Hold Me Closer, a remixed remake of the Rocket Man singer’s original classic, Tiny Dancer. The upbeat version went on to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 at Number 6. This happens to be the Work Bitch singer’s first song to feature in the top 10 Billboard list, in a whole decade.
Meanwhile, Beyonce released a very well-received album last year. Renaissance, her latest dance album also happened to be one of the top position holders on the Billboard 200 chart in July. Queen Bey also received a whopping nine Grammy nominations for her album this awards season.
Despite Renaissance being a rather hit album, the Partition singer has not created a single music video to promote it. Madonna was also in talks to make a remix of one of the songs on the album – Break My Soul.
Yet another report has suggested that the Run The World singer was planning out a summer 2023 global stadium tour.
