“Bro, who the f**k is this?”: Chris Brown Goes on Social Media Rampage After Losing To Multi Grammy Winner Robert Glasper
The recent Grammy Awards of 2023 saw many well-known artists take home awards. These included names such as Beyonce, Harry Styles, Adele, etc. However, after the award ceremony, one person was not happy about not receiving an award. Soon afterward, Chris Brown took to his Instagram and expressed about being upset for losing to Robert Glasper. They were nominated for the best R&B album among others which Glasper ended up winning. Seemingly the Loyal singer did not take it well and ended up acting like a sore loser by making fun of the Black Radio III singer.
Chris Brown Upset After Losing Grammy to Robert Glasper
In the recent Grammy awards, Chris Brown was nominated for the best R&B album category among other artists of the genre. However, Robert Glasper took home the award for his album Black Radio III. Everything seemed fine and normal about the outcome only it was not the case for Brown. He was clearly upset about it as he took to his Instagram and ridiculed Glasper. The International Love hitmaker shared various posts making fun of the winner via Instagram stories. Brown shared a screenshot that had a question asking, “Bro, who the f**k is this?” regarding the pianist. And similarly, another meme was shared asking the same thing, “Who the f*ck is Robert Glasper?”.
Soon afterward, the Fine China singer was met with backlash on social media. The fact that Glasper actually won more Grammys than Brown made the latter look like a sore loser. And various people criticized him for disrespecting his fellow artist.
Furthermore, when it comes to their history with the award, the Loyal singer has won only once in his career till now. Although he did get about 20 Grammy nominations since his musical career began. In the case of Glasper, he has been nominated for 11 Grammys in 8 different categories. And he has managed to win five of them. There is definitely a difference in the pair’s winning history.
What More Happened at This Year’s Grammy
Apart from Robert Glasper and Chris Brown, the best R&B album nominations included Mary J. Blige, P J Morton, and Lucky Daye. As for the other categories, Beyonce took her 32nd grammy this year. And with that, she made the record of being the artist with the most Grammy award. She took an award for the track Cuff It in the best R&B song category.
The highlight of the ceremony was Harry Styles’ album Harry’s House winning album of the year. Moreover, the album also won in the best Pop vocal album category. Aside from that Adele also took one for her song Easy On Me. It definitely was a star-studded night with other artists such as Taylor Swift and Lizzo etc.
