Bruce Willis Reportedly Has New Will to Live after Dementia Diagnosis Following Grandchild News
Bruce Willis announced his retirement from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia. Willis’ wife, Emma Heming Willis, ex-wife Demi Moore, and children confirmed that the actor suffers from a language disorder that impairs communication. Aphasia is not a curable disorder, hence it has affected the Die Hard actor’s comeback plans in the movies.
Willis’s family announced another sad news in February that they finally had a proper diagnosis, and confirmed that the actor has frontotemporal dementia or FTD.
Bruce Willis wants to have happy grandfather moments
Rumer Willis announced her pregnancy in December last year and since then the soon-to-be grandfather Bruce Willis is excited to welcome the baby. Rumer, who is the oldest daughter of Willis and Demi Moore, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas. Since Rumer announced her pregnancy, there has been a glint of hope in the actor’s life, as he struggles with FTD. He intends to be the best grandfather he can be to his first grandchild. According to a close source,
“He’s determined to stay coherent and lucid for as long as possible so his grandchild can have some happy memories of a grandfather who was present and active in his or her life.”
Rumer’s baby has given Willis new hope in life, as he intends to spend a significant amount of time with his grandchild. Bruce Willis’ oldest spends a lot of time with her family now that she is pregnant, especially with her father. As per reports, the family’s primary focus is to keep the actor active. His entire day is filled with activities to make sure his brain is exercised.
Bruce Willis wishes his family stays close to him
The Sixth Sense actor has five daughters. Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, from his marriage to Moore, and Mabel Ray Willis and Evelyn Penn Willis by his current wife, Emma Heming Willis. Heming and Moore’s children have wonderful family dynamics. They all get along great, and Willis wants this to continue because he hasn’t been feeling well for a while.
The Fifth Element actor reportedly believes that his 3 daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah can take care of themselves financially. A source close to the family said,
“He believes Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah have gotten the best of what he has to offer financially throughout their lives. Bruce’s will was actually redone years ago after he married Emma in 2009, was amended after the children were born, and then again when it was clear Bruce’s health was failing.”
Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout, all three are into the acting business like their parents. Willis married the Ghost actress on 21 November 1987 but decided to part ways in June 1998. In 2009, Willis married Emma Heming and since then she has been by his side through every up and down. They have two young daughters.
