Fans loved the combination of the famous actor and director but after their last movies in 2007, many were left with the question of whether they both will make a movie again.
Well, we have the answer to it in 2023 after Django Unchained director confirmed that he will be directing for his next last movie, The Movie Critic. The star recently shared that he wants his old friend and famous actor, Bruce Willis to star in this upcoming new movie.
Quentin Tarantino Officially Announces His Last Film as Director
Wrong Place star has finally made a public announcement sharing that he will be working on his final directorial movie project, “The Movie Critic“.
As of now, there are no such depth revelations about the plot, but we have a summary from IMDb which says,
“The story of an irreverent critic in 1970s California who reviews mainstream movies for a porno magazine called The Popstar Pages.”
Also, it’s been said that the movie is based on real-time events. Alongside the plot, there is no update on the release date too, but we have a recent report that shares that the movie’s production is going through a slow phase because of the ongoing SAG -AFTRA strike.
Earlier the release date for the movie was expected for 2024, but due to the ongoing strike there is chance that the release could be postponed to the next year too. We will be updating you soon as soon as we get an official update.
Quentin Tarantino Eyes Bruce Willis for His Next Movie
It’s been nearly 16 years since we got to see a previous movie starring both Quentin Tarantino as the director and Bruce Willis as the lead star.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star initially shared that he had his eye on Robert De Niro as he was impressed by his performance when played Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver movie.
Not only that, the duo star has also worked together for Tarantino’s fourth movie, Jackie Brown.
Later, Tarantino’s shared the challenges he faced to bring the Taxi Driver star and he shared his new vision to bring his old pal Willis. His family members announced his retirement back in 2022 and it’s been more than a year since he is out of Hollywood.
The star had to retire from acting as he got diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. Readers from the 90s already could have seen Willis and Tarantino together in Pulp Fiction movies.
Not only in the 90s but infact the duo famous personalities have worked together for many more movies including Death Proof and Grindhouse which made its way to release back in 2007.

As we mentioned, both Willis and Tarantino have worked on several projects in the past, and not only that, but infact the star has also appeared in one of the latest blockbuster hits like G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Expendables, and many more.
As we mentioned, both Assassin star and Inglourious Basterds have worked on many movies in the past which is also among the reasons why Tarantino is choosing Willis for his next movie.
“Quentin hasn’t approached Bruce’s family yet, and will completely bow to their wishes if they say he’s too sick,” a source told The Express.
“If that’s the case, he aims to try to work a brief clip from one of Bruce’s many previous movies into the film.”
As of now, Tarantino shared that he hasn’t approached the A Good Day to Die Hard star’s family to talk if he would return to cast for a new movie.
