Spider-Man: No Way Home has now crossed the $1 billion mark and still going strong. Of course, the movie would have given strong competition to Avengers: Endgame if the global pandemic wasn’t in place. Regardless, Marvel and Sony have created history with No Way Home and for all the right reasons. It wasn’t just what fans asked for, but the movie ended up answering some of the most burning questions regarding MCU’s Spider-Man.

1. Is MJ A Variant?

Yes, the MJ that we see in the MCU is a Mary Jane variant and her name is Michelle Jones Watson which No Way Home wasted no time in establishing. Just like Mary Jane, Michelle also has a strained relationship with his father which explains the omission of her surname. Also, Tobey’s Spider-Man confirmed his MJ was another version.

She was literally the only family he had left. After her death, he was unhinged and literally filled with rage. When he came face to face with Green Goblin, he got so vengeful that he started toying with him and almost killed him before Tobey’s Peter came in between to stop him.
