Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade didn’t do well at the box office, and somewhere it was a disappointment for the viewers as well. People expected this Indiana Jones film to be as iconic as the previous ones. Undoubtedly, Harrison Ford was great in the movie, but the storyline wasn’t liked by many. The critics were a bit more harsh on Ford’s movie and had many things to say regarding why the film didn’t do well.

Ford talked about why the fourth part of Indiana Jones didn’t do well at the box office and why the movie received a harsh review. In his statement, Ford said,

“The critics were harsh on it, but what are they doing now? I understand. But those were their rules — not director Steven Spielberg’s and co-writer George Lucas’ rules. They were imposing their rules on what the movie should be.”

The actor wasn’t hesitant to clap back at the reviewers and also explained he is extremely happy about this film.

It’s not a kind of Photoshop magic that’s what I looked like 35 years ago. Because Lucasfilm has every frame of film that we’ve made together over all of these years. And this process, this scientific mining of this library, this was put to good use.”
