Cat Janice’s Cause of Death: Extremely Rare Cancer That Killed 31-Year-Old Singer
After battling with all her strength, musician and TikToker Cat Janice died of cancer on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. The singer went viral after she released her song Dance You Outta My Head, and transferred all her songs to her son’s name.
In 2022, Cat Janice posted on her social media that she had been declared cancer-free. But unfortunately, the deadly disease came back. She was suffering from sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that forms in bones and soft tissue. The singer remained extremely joyful throughout her battle and spent time with her son and family.
Singer and TikToker Cat Janice Died of Rare Cancer Leaving a 7-year-old Son
The joyous and cheerful singer Cat Janice died at the age of 31, leaving her beloved son Loren behind. The musician became a sensation soon after releasing her farewell song Dance You Outta My Head and was incredibly passionate about singing. Before Janice left the world, she left her legacy behind and transferred all her songs to her son’s name.
Cat Janice’s battle with cancer journey began in 2021 when she felt a lump in her neck. The Washington, DC local, explained in her TikTok video that initially, she didn’t care much about the lump, but gradually, it became larger and harder. She was then diagnosed with sarcoma, a cancer of the bones or soft tissue in early 2022.

During her recovery, when Cat Janice underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, the TikToker kept singing and writing songs. It was in July 2022 when the musician posted being cancer-free and announced the release of one of her songs. However, her sarcoma came back severely and soon, affecting her body. But the musician kept battling with it until this year’s February.
Cat Janice posted, “I’ve got the wrong news that cancer has won, I’ve fought but sarcomas are too tough.” The singer mentioned transferring all her songs in the name of her son. Before her demise, Janice shared her excitement through an Instagram post expressing her shock to find herself in the Top 40 Billboard Charting artist on Hot Dance/ Electronic.
Cat Janice Celebrated Her Last Birthday With Family in January
Cat Janice was blessed with the opportunity to celebrate her birthday before she left the world, and to make it special, her family surprised her with a celebration party. She posted on social media that: “I miraculously made it to my birthday everybody and my friends and family surprised me.” Her final days have been extremely tough as she wrote on Instagram in her final video that she wasn’t able to walk and got trapped in her body.

Her family posted on her social media after the passing of the talented singer and an incredible mother. The post reads:
“This morning, from her childhood home and surrounded by her loving family, Catherine peacefully entered the light and love of her heavenly creator.”
The post also mentioned that her brother will now handle Cat Janice’s page. The singer not only went viral for her songs but also for how cheerful she remained through this harrowing battle with cancer.
