But when asked about his intention to direct another superhero movie,  the director did not hesitate to say no. In a recent interview with Hugo Decrypte, his answer to whether he would ever direct a film based on a superhero like his 2.4 million dollars Batman trilogy Nolan straight up said “No”. Before Christopher Nolan ever came to the Superhero scene, Batman who has always been one of the most popular superhero Comic characters was already brought to the screen back in 1966. Then came the Michael Keaton Batman series directed by Tim Burton and distributed by Warner Bros.

Finally, in 2005, Nolan took charge of the caped crusader and presented the world with his version of the brooding superhero in Batman Begins. Its two sequels, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises came out subsequently in 2008 and 2012 respectively.

All three films have done exceptionally well at the box office and in total have collected a whopping 2.4 Billion dollars worldwide making them one of Nolan’s best works of all time.
