Christopher Nolan Felt Incredible After Making Oppenheimer
Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer is undeniably this year’s summer blockbuster and historical epic biography of the father of the Atomic bomb. The film has a star-studded cast including Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr., Emily Blunt, and other acclaimed actors who were lauded for their strong performances. While speaking with Empire, the Interstellar director shared that:
“I’ve just made a three-hour film about Robert Oppenheimer which is R-rated and half in black-and-white – and it made a billion dollars. Of course, I think films are doing great.”
Oppenheimer isn’t just Nolan’s magnum opus but also holds personal significance as the director was able to witness the amazing reaction of the audience after his film was released. The Dark Knight Rises maker added:
“The crazy thing is that it’s literally the most successful film I’ve ever made. I’ve been doing this for 20 years and in the United Kingdom it’s my highest-grossing film. So I feel great about the state of the movie business, based on my own experience. But also based on seeing other movies break out, seeing audiences come back.”
Christopher Nolan considers Oppenheimer as his greatest achievement and felt incredible after crafting the entire movie using an IMAX camera with parts of it in black and white.
Oppenheimer is available on Prime Video.
