Josh Hartnett Could Be The Face Of Doctor Doom In Fantastic Four
After being a significant part of the Manhattan Project in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, there is a strong possibility that actor Josh Hartnett might get associated with the billion-dollar superhero franchise Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to a viral tweet on Twitter, the Black Hawk Down actor was offered to play the role of reputed Marvel’s antagonist Doctor Doom. According to the tweet, he was given the offer way before the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes started.

According to the media outlet, Giant Freakin Robot, Josh Hartnett was offered the role of Doctor Doom for the upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four. The outlet mentioned-
“We’ve exclusively learned that Josh Hartnett has been offered the role of Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four. This may be a sign Marvel is looking to learn from Fox’s past mistakes. After all, Doctor Doom was the chief antagonist of both the very first official live-action Fantastic Four film in 2005 and in the 2015 reboot.”
According to the recent developments on the speculations surrounding the association of the American actor and producer, with the superhero franchise, Josh Hartnett hasn’t given a nod or backed out from the proposition. The antagonist Doctor Doom’s character is larger than life and to imagine the Fantastic Four franchise without him is something beyond the imagination for Marvel fans.
Josh Hartnett On Working With Christopher Nolan On Oppenheimer
During an interview with the reputed media outlet Variety, actor Josh Hartnett spoke about Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and the different shades of the character he plays in the biographical saga. He said-
“Ernest Lawrence is one of the most kind of fascinating 20th centuries century characters. I knew nothing about so when I got the role I just went and read as many books as I could on him to kind of find out everything I could.”
While talking about working with Christopher Nolan, the 45-year-old actor said-
“It’s a dream I think most actors have to work with Chris and I’ve, I’ve known him for a long time. I missed an opportunity to work with him early on in my career and to be able to be called back up essentially like to, to work with him was a fantastic thing and like a dream come true. So, I was just before, I even before I even read the script, honestly I was like yes ‘I will do this. “
On getting into the character of Ernest Lawrence, he said-
“I gained a bunch of weight. Cillian had the hard job losing a bunch of weight, I just got to eat whatever I wanted.”
For the Wrath Of Man actor being on the sets around his mid-40s was a very transformative experience both physically and emotionally. Oppenheimer was made on a budget of $100 million, and the movie has already grossed $700 million at the box office.
Oppenheimer is currently running in theatres around the world.
