All this happened as she was gearing up for her upcoming tour Celebration which contains 84 show dates. Most of her close sources had been concerned since Madonna started the practicing sessions.
As per reports, she had been pushing herself to the extreme with around 12 hours of practice sessions a day. Adding to this, the singer is also 84, which naturally puts some limit on the amount of physical exertion one can put out.
Furthermore, following this news, a newer report has come out that the veteran artist had to be resuscitated in the ICU which means that the issue had been a concerning one.

Pop queen Madonna who was recently rushed to the ICU after being unresponsive has undoubtedly made people everyone around her seriously concerned. Although most thought it was due to all the heavy physical exertions that she had been putting in for days before the incident, according to medical reports, the Material Girl singer collapsed due to a fever from a bacterial infection.

It turned out that the infection was not new and that she supposedly tried to stifle and keep it down to continue with the practice. But since then her family reported Madonna was back in her home recovering from the collapse. However, a more recent detail about the whole thing suggests that the situation had been much more serious.
According to the report, the singer was unresponsive for a while after her collapse and had to be administered a NARCAN injection to bring her back to life. For those unversed, the injection is used to increase the blood pressure in a person and is mostly put into use for patients suffering from an overdose. This shows that the Queen of Pop had been closer to death than it seems.

For a long while, many people close to Madonna were concerned after looking at the amount of exertion she had been putting on her body for her tour practice. According to a source, her motivation came from the fact that she felt determined to catch up with her dancers that were half a fraction of her age.
