“Could be an extraordinary movie”: Star Trek’s Patrick Stewart Wants a Picard Solo Project
Star Trek is one of the most loved space franchises in Hollywood and has various films and tv series based in its universe. Out of these, the tv series Star Trek: Picard was a big hit among fans which concluded this year after three seasons.
There is no plan to continue the series with another season as far as it has been reported. But recently, the show’s star Patrick Stewart revealed he was down to play the character of Jean-Luc Picard once again.
He mentioned a possible feature film that could be based on the character. As to the current knowledge, season 3 of the Paramount show is said to have wrapped up the Star Trek: Next Generation storyline.
Patrick Stewart is Down For Reprising His Role in Star Trek Franchise
Hollywood veteran star Sir Patrick Stewart has successfully played the role of Admiral Jean-Luc Picard in the Star Trek franchise. The projects include the Paramount series Star Trek: Picard and the 1987 release, Star Trek: The Next Generation. The former series came to its conclusion this year with season 3, and as of now, there is no plan for another season as far as reports go.

Following this, it came to light that Stewart is still willing to take on the role once again for any project related to the franchise. He even shared his idea on the whole thing. Despite the negative reception of his last film project in the franchise, Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), the 82-year-old has the wish to reprise his role in a feature film based on Star Trek: The Next Generation characters.
He also added that the film could take elements from previously released works, especially from the last season of the Picard series. Talking about it Stewart said,
“What I think could be an extraordinary movie.”
However, as far as it is known, the studio is done with Picard’s storyline with the third season concluding the whole series.

The first episode of the Star Trek: Picard series was dropped back in 2020. The storyline is set 14 years after Admiral Jean-Luc Picard’s (played by Patrick Stewart) retirement from Starfleet. Picard encounters one of his past adversaries Q who traps him and his team in an alternate reality. The mission is then to travel back to the right century (21st) before the galaxy is destroyed.
In the last season of the show, Picard comes to know that he has a son that needs protection from some mysterious enemies. To do this, he reunites with his Starfleet crew of the USS Enterprise.
