And it is evident from one of the stories she shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The actor revealed that she got married in an impromptu wedding ceremony once. And the story took everyone by surprise as it got weirder and weirder. However, as always, her fans loved it and the story received very warm responses. Aubrey Plaza’s Impromptu Wedding Ceremony
Back in 2021, while promoting her book The Legend of The Christmas Witch, Aubrey Plaza once again did not fail to surprise people. She appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show donning a whole “Christmas Witch” outfit and talked about various stuff related to her life.

One of the things she shared stood out from everything else. Plaza revealed that she got married during quarantine and that the wedding ceremony was held impromptu. According to the Dirty Grandpa star, she had gotten the idea from a website called “Onehourmarriage.com”. And she further explained what really went down during the wedding. Plaza revealed,
“I created a very quick love altar in our yard. Facts of our love, little stones, smoke, fire. Things of that nature”
According to the White Lotus actor, the wedding officiant arrived in a casual “Hawaiian T-shirt” and proceeded with the wedding ceremony. Plaza said, “I can’t remember a lot of it, it was fuzzy. But I’m pretty sure it’s legal.” The chaotic story of her unorthodox marriage clearly took the audience as well as DeGeneres by surprise. And fans seemed to have loved the story as several took to social media to express their joy. One fan said, “I love that you can never tell if she’s joking or telling the truth”. While another wrote, “What I love about her is that she has no problem making people uncomfortable”. This just goes on to show how much Plaza’s fans adore her quirky awkwardness.

No matter where she goes, Aubrey Plaza is successful in surprising people with her quirky nature. Some of these moments include the time she yelled at Michael Cera during their promotion of the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the world. Another one is her awkward pole dance on the Ellen Show. The actor was prompted by DeGeneres while talking about Jennifer Lopez’s performance in Hustlers. However, the audience could not help but laugh out loud at Plaza’s pole dance trial.
And according to The Independent, the White Lotus actor has shared that she is aware of her awkward interviews and how fans seem to love them. She also shared that it was “hilarious” that people knew about her from her interviews more than her actual work.
