The actor plays the role of Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed. Apollo Creed was the main antagonist in Rocky and Rocky II as he goes against Rocky (Sylvester Stallone). In the first Creed movie, Adonis seeks mentorship from the legendary Rocky Balboa. In this movie, Adonis goes up against his childhood friend, Damien (Jonathan Majors). The cast also includes Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Wood Harris, and Florian Munteanu. The movie is currently competing against Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However, it seems like Creed III will easily overshadow Marvel’s latest project as it has received much better reviews from the audience.

The first Creed movie was released in 2015 and it was crucial for Michael B Jordan’s career. The movie grossed over $173 million worldwide against a production budget of $35 million and received a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The actor even won the Best Actor award at the 2016 BET Awards for his performance in the movie.
The second Creed movie grossed over $214 million worldwide against a production budget of $50 million and received an 83% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The third movie is expected to achieve more than the first two and so far, the future looks great for Jordan.
