Gwyneth Paltrow has had her fair share of flings with several fellow actors and socialites throughout her showbiz life. Paltrow, who has a romantic connection with the Coldplay frontrunner, still carries a soft spot for him.
While dishing on her A-list roster of former flames, during the episode of Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alexandra Cooper, Paltrow revealed that her relationship with her ex-husband Chris Martin, remains unique from any other romances she had to this day.

“When I met him, there was a very deep thing there. And I couldn’t quite put my finger on it because it felt very different than my other relationships.”

“It’s not so much that the relationship itself turned out to be healthier than my other relationships. It’s just that I think I had this deep calling on some level. I knew he was going to be the father of my kids, maybe or something. It was a very strong feeling.”

The Iron Man actress and the Yellow singer met in October 2002, a couple of months after the release of his breakthrough album Rush of Blood to the Head. The pairs exchanged vows in December 2003 after a year of dating and welcomed their daughter, Apple (19), and a son, Moses (17), in 2004 and 2006.

Paltrow and Martin shared their marital life for more than a decade before they surprised the fans in 2014 by announcing their divorce in a post on the Goop website titled Conscious Uncoupling.

“We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate”.

In an interview with the UK’s Evening Standard, the actress opened up about the singer.

“I think Chris and I were meant to be together and have our kids, Paltrow said in 2019. But our relationship is much better like this: friends, co-parents, and family.”
