Dakota Johnson’s Madame Web Could Be The Worst Superhero Movie In The Recent Years

Marvel and DC are the biggest superhero franchises in Hollywood. Both franchises have built a fortune by entertaining the world with superhero movies. However, 2023 was not a great year for both the MCU and DC as due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes many projects got delayed and were postponed too.  The Marvels and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania were released in 2023, but failed to make an impact both critically and financially.

Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Aquaman, and the Lost and  Kingdom, Black Adam had a great opening but failed to create a mark both critically and financially. Here is a list of the Worst DC and Marvel Superhero Projects post-2019

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness was directed by Sam Raimi. Instead of focusing on the present, the Elizabeth Olsen-led project looked more like an introduction to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness was jammed full of cameos. The multiversal concept with respect to multiple cameos in the movie went on to confuse the fans.

Justice League

The Marvels

Brie Larson’s The Marvels was directed by Nia DaCosta and featured three female leads. One of the major reasons for the project falling flat at the box office was none other than superhero fatigue.
