Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe needs no introduction to the world of entertainment. The star rose to fame at a very young age and became the center of the limelight. Daniel Radcliffe has grown up with the Harry Potter franchise. From being introduced at the young age of 12 to spending his teenage on the sets of his second home i.e. Harry Potter set-the actor has come a long way. During an interview, the actor spoke about filming a scene that he has always disliked.

Daniel Radcliffe Disliked Filming The Quidditch Scenes

Daniel Radcliffe has been the face of the billion-dollar fantasy drama for the past two decades, since Harry Potter And The Sorceror’s Stone. From being a fan favorite to being subjected to a crazy fan following in almost every part of the world, the 34-year-old actor knows how to keep his personal life away from the media glare. During an interview with the media outlet Insider in 2009, Daniel Radcliffe confessed that he disliked filming the Quidditch scenes.

“Quidditch is right up there with the least fun things I’ve done on ‘Harry Potter’ certainly. It is not a pleasant experience, it does hurt quite a lot and it is not something I would be rushing back to do! […] I had to do it for all of the movies, pretty much, so that’s been my favorite thing about the seventh one. No Quidditch!”

According to the actor, sitting for hours on the broomstick against the blue screen was extremely exhausting. He had to do the Quidditch scene multiple times in the Harry Potter installments as it was a significant sport at Hogwarts. After Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows Part 1, the actor breathed a sigh of relief.

Tom Felton On Working With His Harry Potter Co-star Daniel Radcliffe

Though Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter could not stand each other in the fantasy drama, the actor duo Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton were great friends offscreen. In Tom Felton’s memoir Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, the actor spoke about his association with the Harry Potter series and even mentioned about the great bond he shared with his co-star Daniel Radcliffe. According to his memoir-

“I mean, I love the man very dearly. I don’t see him as much as I’d like to, that’s the same for all of us, really. But I consider him a brother, definitely. Huge amounts of respect for him.”

During an interview with media outlet CBS Tom Felton reflected back on working with Daniel Radcliffe and said-

“Daniel brings a certain energy to any room that he’s in. But it was important to me, looking back, how important his enthusiasm and his eventual professionalism run down the ranks, if you will. He could’ve very much easily, I think, coasted a lot of those years. And it seemed to me, on set with him, that he was always up for bringing as much as he can to the table, always being collaborative. And I think he learned that the same way that I did: from the other chaps around us.”

Despite becoming an overnight star in the Harry Potter franchise, Daniel Radcliffe had a tough time getting conventional projects for a long time. He took a sabbatical from his acting career to enjoy the bliss of Fatherhood with his 38-year-old girlfriend Erin Drake.
