Daredevil: Born Again – Matthew McConaughey’s $87M Movie Co-Star Reportedly Replacing Karen Page as Charlie Cox’s Love Interest
Daredevil series enjoyed great success throughout its three seasons from 2015 to 2018 on Netflix, as blinded Matt Murdock with heightened senses fought criminals by night and at the same time tried to manage a law firm with his friend.
Now, Marvel Studios are all set to bring the reboot of the much acclaimed series, titled Daredevil: Born Again, on Disney+ in 2024. The series will stretch to 18 episodes as part of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Not much has been made public about the plot which is being developed by Matt Corman and Chris Ord. However, the rumor mill has begun as we reach closer to the premiere date and it has churned a very intriguing detail.

Margarita Levieva to Be Part of Daredevil: Born Again
Charlie Cox will reprise the role of Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio will return as Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again. However, the reboot will see a lot of other changes.
First and foremost, the series will be split into Part 1 and Part 2. Secondly, Matt’s best friend and his law partner, Foggy Nelson (played by Elden Henson) isn’t a part of the cast.
As far as Matt’s love life is concerned, Karen Page – who shared on- and off- romance with Matt and served as his legal secretary – won’t be in sight and instead be replaced by not one but two love interests, Heather Glenn and Kirsten McDuffie.
A report from Murphy’s Multiverse read: “With Karen Page out of the picture and no sign of Elektra, rumors have not one but two of Matt’s comic book flames set for Born Again in Heather Glenn and Kirsten McDuffie and we’ve heard the same. Margarita Levieva is set to play party girl Heather Glenn while Nikki M. James will portray Kirsten McDuffie.”
It’ll be interesting to see how the writers of the show develop the relationship dynamics. In the comics, Kirsten McDuffie was the assistant district attorney who consistently flirts with Matt. Meanwhile, Heather Glenn, daughter of Maxwell Glenn, is depicted as a fun-loving fling of Matt and had a contrasting persona to the serious crimefighter.
Margarita Levieva’s Role in Matthew McConaughey’s $87M Movie
Margarita Levieva has reportedly signed a one-season deal for Daredevil: Born Again to play Heather, who helps finance Matt’s Legal Storefront Clinic in Marvel comics. Now obviously there’s no relation at all between the two, but Levieva has already worked in another movie that was focused in and around the workings of law.
The 43-year-old starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the movie The Lincoln Lawyer in 2011. She played the role of Reggie Campo, an aspiring actress, and a part-time telephone solicitor. Like Daredevil, she also had a very distinct persona by night but in a very different way. Reggie was a semi-pro call girl in the city of Los Angeles.
The movie which primarily focuses on McConaughey’s character Mick Haller and his defense case for a wealthy realtor’s son performed modestly at the box office, managing a worldwide collection of $87.1 million.
