Dave Chappelle Didn’t Enjoy Having Dinner With Kanye West After Rapper Brought His Almost Naked Wife Bianca Censori to the Table
Stand-up comedian and actor Dave Chappelle has successfully established himself as one of the best comics in America. His winning of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, America’s highest comedy honor, in 2019 stands as proof of this fact. In addition to this, he has also won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series twice.
Chappelle has a love/hate relationship with popular American rapper Kanye West, as the comedian targeted him during his SNL Monologue in 2022, and still claims to be on good terms with the Lift Yourself singer. Reportedly, his experience of attending a dinner with Ye and his wife Bianca Censori was not the best.
Dave Chappelle’s Dinner with Kanye West and His Wife Was Awkward
Dave Chappelle is widely known for headlining comedy shows, and appearing as a guest in TV shows. One such show is SNL, his appearance in which has won him the Primetime Emmy Awards. In 2022, his monologue included several digs at Ye. Besides giving the rapper some advice, Chappelle also called him out for his antisemitism (via USA Today).
Ye’s wife Bianca Censori has often attracted public attention for her sense of clothing or inclination toward wearing revealing clothing. Besides making headlines, she has also sparked online discourse due to this very reason, and the same, apparently, has tainted Chappelle’s dinner with Ye and his wife.
According to a Reddit user who claimed to have attended one of The Closer actor’s comedy performances, Chappelle spoke of his encounter with West and Censori (via Vibe). The user wrote:
“He [Chappelle] recently had dinner with ye and bianca but said it was the most uncomfortable dinner hes ever attended because bianca was basically n*ked.”
The netizen gave some other details of how Censori was dressed. They also claimed that Ye was the subject of many of Chappelle’s jokes, but the comedian clarified that there was no bad blood between them.
Kanye West Defended Himself for Posting Some Risqué Pictures of His Wife
West would often post explicit content of his wife on his now-deactivated Instagram account. This led to him becoming the target of some people who criticized him for doing so.
However, Ye refused to have any of it and posted a video on Instagram defending himself (via New York Post). He said:
“Y’all, I just want to tell everybody I posted my wife three times on purpose. So what I’m saying is, I delivered the album. And people still in my comments talking ’bout, ‘Why you posting your wife?’ So don’t ever say nothing negative.”
The Heartless rapper went on to say that if someone does not like what he posts on his page, then they can feel free to leave it and leave him alone.
