The shawarma scene from the first Marvel crossover is one of the most popular scenes of the movie, where Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow are munching on shawarma after saving the world from an alien invasion. The scene fits so well with the chain of events depicted in the movie that it even went on to strike a chord with the audience.

Originally, the shawarma scene was never supposed to be a part of the post-credit, but when the creators saw the scene they went ahead with including it in the second post-credit of The Avengers.

Shawn Levy On Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3

During his appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival, director Shawn Levy was present to promote his series All the Light We Cannot See. The filmmaker even appeared for an interview with the media outlet Deadline, where he gave an insight into the development and progress of Ryan Reynolds Deadpool 3. He said-

“Well, like the rest of our industry, or at least a large swath of it, we’re paused. We’re halfway through filming Deadpool, co-starring Wolverine. It was a joy every day and that chemistry is as relentless as we all hoped it would be.”

While talking about Deadpool 3 and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, he pointed out

“Our movie is raw, audacious, very much R-rated and we went to great lengths to not shoot it on sound stages with digital environments. We wanted something that felt, grounded, real…You put Hugh Jackman in his most iconic character alongside Ryan Reynolds in his most iconic character; it’s more of a descendant of Midnight Run and 48 Hours, and Planes, Trains and Automobiles more than it’s a descendant of Airplane.”

The previous installments of Deadpool were released from the House of 20th Century, but the upcoming installment will be released under Disney’s MCU banner in 2024.

Deadpool 3 arrives in theaters on May 3, 2024.
