Fans are excited about the upcoming third movie of Deadpool. This film will mark the first time the two X-Men characters (Deadpool and Wolverine) will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But, can you believe a fan theory that says one of these characters has already been active in the MCU’s timeline? And that’s not all—this character has even been introduced in a Disney+ series from 2022.

Marvel fans are always digging deep into the MCU’s storylines, trying to figure out every detail and guessing what’s coming next (especially when it comes to mutants joining the universe). Now, there’s a wild idea floating around: Wolverine might already be in the MCU’s main world, Earth-616.

There’s a cool idea going around that Wolverine might already be hanging out in the MCU even before Deadpool 3. The theory, (stated by @austin_medz) on X, hinges on the idea that after facing some big personal tragedy or the destruction of his world, Logan might have found his way to Earth-616 for safety.

But when he gets there, he realizes something strange – there don’t seem to be any mutants around, at least not yet. Feeling disappointed and a bit lost, Wolverine decides to keep a low profile, hiding his true feelings behind his tough exterior.

The excitement around this theory reached new heights when Hugh Jackman was seen as Wolverine in another trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, released this Monday. The trailer starts with Ryan Reynolds‘ Deadpool finding Jackman’s Wolverine in a bar, where he’s “not welcome,” according to the bartender.

Fans are speculating that this scene could be a nod to Wolverine’s past antics. This idea gains traction as Wolverine is famously shown getting into a bar fight in the 2000 X-Men movie.

Sharp-eyed fans have noticed a subtle nod to the bar scene in 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law series on Disney+. While Jennifer Walters is scrolling through the internet, a news article title briefly appears on the screen that mentions “Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl.”

Another Theory That Proves Wolverine’s Pre-Existence in the MCU

Fans have already seen Professor X in Multiverse of Madness, and Ms. Marvel ended with her being confirmed as a mutant. With all this in mind, it’s easy to get excited about the possibility of Wolverine being part of the MCU, too.

Imagine if mutants, including Wolverine, have been around all along but were kept a secret. Professor X, with his powerful cerebro device, could have cast a memory spell on everyone to make them forget about mutants. This could explain why no one has talked about mutants before in the MCU.

It’s all guesswork by Heavy Spoilers Clips, but this theory definitely adds some excitement to how mutants might be introduced into the MCU. Since Disney now owns the rights to the X-Men, fans are really looking forward to seeing Wolverine on screen in the MCU. The idea that Logan might already be in the MCU (trying to make sense of a world without mutants) just makes the wait even more riveting.
