The anticipation for Deadpool & Wolverine is on the rise as the movie is going to hit the screens soon. With each passing day, there is a new theory or rumor lurking around about what is to come in the third installment of the film series, starring The Merc with a Mouth in the lead.
Recently, a new teaser has been released for the movie and it has brought in a new wave of enthusiasm and curiosity for the upcoming film. While this teaser does not feature many scenes, it is efficiently getting fans pumped up for all the action and chaos heading their way.
The New Deadpool & Wolverine Teaser Is The Perfect Blend of Action, Humor and Chaos
Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the most anticipated movies of this summer. Fans had been waiting for the third installment of the movie featuring the antihero since the second movie was released in 2018. The wait has certainly been long, but it is going to be over soon.
This movie will mark Wade Wilson’s MCU debut and will feature several multiversal elements such as several variants of the antihero, and cameos of X-Men and other heroes. Recently, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman posted a new teaser on their official X pages for the social media trend, Best Friends Day.
The teaser is about a minute long and is a combination of footage from the trailer and some new clips. The new footage provides an extra glimpse of various scenes previously seen in the trailer. These include distinct angles of TVA agents, a group of mercenaries pointing down their weapons at someone, and a scene in which the two titular heroes are tied up together.
In addition to this, there is also a scene that looks like that of Lady Deadpool stepping out of a portal. While the complete look cannot be seen, there is a good chance that it is the female variant of the antihero. Whether the portal has originated from Doctor Strange or Wong’s magic, or entirely someone/something else, also remains unclear. What is clear though is that viewers are in for a ride.
Fans Are Absolutely Stoked About the New Teaser
In addition to Reynolds and Jackman, the movie will also see Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Rob Delaney, Brianna Hildebrand, and Shioli Kutsuna return as their respective characters Vanessa, Blind Al, Peter, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Yukio. Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen are also joining the cast.
That said, the fans are excited about the new teaser and have expressed as much through the comments under the videos on X. Here is what some of them had to say:
The movie, directed by Shawn Levy and penned by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells, is reportedly (via ComicBookMovie.com) going to run for 2 hours and 7 minutes, making it the longest in the series.
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to hit theatres on July 26, 2024.
