Delaney is widely known for his role as Rob Norris in the British TV sitcom Catastrophe, which he also co-created. In 2018, his fame saw new heights for his role as the middle-aged and superpower-less X-force member Peter Wisdom in Deadpool 2. Much to the delight of the fans, he reprised the role in the latest installment of the franchise.

However, one of his scenes with Ryan Reynolds‘ Merc with the Mouth and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine did not make it to the final cut. The comedian posted the video online with a hilarious caption for fans to judge if the scene deserved the treatment it got.

The deleted scene in question sees Deadpool introduce the clawed mutant to Peter and then ask the latter to show him something. Upon being prompted, Peter lifts up his shirt to reveal nipple piercings connected with a chain. One of the kids from the family standing nearby stares at the sight in front of him in shock.

Deadpool then proceeds to ask Wolverine if he likes that, which ends with both Jackman and Delaney breaking character as they crack up. The studio evidently decided to exclude the unhinged scene from the final cut of the film, but it would have been a side-splitting moment for the viewers if it had been included.

A couple of months before the release of Deadpool 2 in 2018, Rob Delaney lost his two-and-a-half-year-old son Henry Delaney to a brain tumor. It was a devasting loss for the family, and Delaney has penned the book A Heart that Beats detailing it all.

Not so long ago, Reynolds posted a carousel of pictures with Delaney on Instagram and wrote how sorry he was for not crediting the late Henry Delaney in Deadpool 2. However, he learned from his mistake and made sure to add him in Deadpool & Wolverine. The Green Lantern star also appreciated Delaney, writing:

There’s more to @robdelaney than some realize. He’s one of the most subversively funny people I know. He’s a beautiful, acerbic and vulnerable writer.

Reynolds also mentioned how lucky he is to have a friend like Delaney, who has talked about his grief openly in an attempt to make other people feel less lonely.
