Simu Liu rates his Marvel debut Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was released in 2021 and, upon its release, received positive comments from the critics and the audience. The movie became the ninth highest-grossing film of 2021, and critics especially praised the studios for exploring and representing Asian culture in a Marvel movie.

As the movie turns three, the lead actor Simu Liu took to his social media to share his honest view about the movie after a Marvel fan account asked the fans how much they would rate the movie. Not only did he rate the movie but also wrote a sarcastic comment about himself. He mentioned,

8.5/10. Decent movie, but the lead actor is a little too full of himself.

Of course, the actor wrote the comment about him in a funny way, but sometimes when individuals try to be funny, they are telling the truth behind the laughs. Following the success of Shang-Chi, Liu was under the spotlight by hosting SNL, being named one of the most influential people in the world, and more.

But the actor has been in hot water since the movie got released because fans dug deep to find his allegedly controversial comments made in the past. According to Distractify, the actor was a Reddit user from 2013 to 2015 and was believed to have frequented the Men’s Rights Asians, which allegedly harassed Asian women and shared racist, anti-Black sentiments. The Reddit has been deleted by a series of screenshots that went viral, which has put him in a bad light.
