At 55, with two Oscars under his belt and nearly 40 films on his résumé, Denzel Washington remains one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors. Denzel Washington Faced Awkward Moments During His First Acting Job

A fresh college graduate, Denzel Washington landed his first professional acting job in a made-for-TV biopic about Olympic sprinter Wilma Rudolph. The Book of Eli star never goes back and watches his own movies or prefers reliving his previous moments of glory. However, he does remember the experiences and moments created during his film career.

Washington shared in an interview about an experience that gave him his first, awkward introduction to the technical side of filmmaking. He said, ”In this particular scene, I remember I was nervous because I was talking to [costar Shirley Jo Finney] really close and the camera was moving in. I was so green, I started backing away from the camera. They were like, ‘Cut! Denzel, you’re backing away!’ He met his wife on the sets of the same film.

Denzel Washington Is Returning For The Equalizer 3

Denzel Washington has confirmed that he will be returning as Robert McCall in The Equalizer 3. Based on the 1980s TV show of the same name, Washington first appeared as McCall in 2014. Despite mixed reviews from the critics, the 2014 film having Washington in the lead role grossed $192.3 million worldwide. On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, The Equalizer has an approval rating of 60% based on 203 reviews, with an average rating of 7/10.

During an interview with Collider, Washington revealed not just his return in the third installment but also that it has already been written. He said,

“They have written the third Equalizer, so I’m scheduled to do that. So I gotta get in shape and start beating people up again. I get to beat people up again. The Tragedy of Macbeth and then going and beating some people up. Can’t get any better, right?” 

Washington last appeared in The Tragedy of Macbeth in the titular role of Lord Macbeth.
