Elon Musk and James Franco Will Not Testify For Amber Heard
While the two men did appear on Heard’s available witness list at the trial’s beginning but Musk’s attorney Alex Spiro recently revealed that his client will not be testifying.
Another source with ample knowledge of the ongoing trial also confirmed that James Franco will not take the stand either.
Franco had found himself wrapped up in the case during the lawsuit that Depp brought against the British tabloid The Sun over an article that stated him as a “wife-beater” based on Amber Heard’s allegations of domestic abuse.
Johnny Depp Accused Heard Of Having An Affair With James Franco
Amber Heard, who is 36, had earlier testified that Franco had asked her “what the f–k” happened to her face after Johnny Depp had reportedly allegedly thrown a phone at her.
Franco had visited actress Amber Heard at her LA penthouse in 2016, just a day after the alleged violent incident happened with Depp, she said.
“We were talking. He was saying to me, ‘Oh my God, what happened to you?’” Heard revealed of James Franco, whom Depp had earlier accused of being her lover during their marriage. “He saw my face, and he said, ‘What the f–k?’ ”
Musk, 50, who is the wealthiest man in the world also dated Amber Heard for almost a year after her split with Depp in 2016.
Alejandro Romero, who works as a doorman at Heard and Depp’s Los Angeles building, had earlier given a statement where he claimed that he saw Musk “a few times a week” during late at night in the year 2015 — and also revealed that the Tesla CEO and now-Twitter owner would “always visit when Mr. Depp was not at home.”
On the other hand, Heard and Musk have always maintained their stand that their romance had only begun after she had filed for her divorce from Johnny Depp.
Depp, who has earlier lost his libel claim against the tabloid, The Sun, is now suing his ex-wife, Heard over her opinion piece that she had written in the 2018 Washington Post where Depp was called out as “wife beater”.
Johnny Depp Has Denied Heard’s claims of domestic abuse
Depp denies Heard’s claims of domestic abuse — and while the actor was not named in the written piece, he claims that it had clearly referenced him, thereby ruining his career and costing him millions of dollars.
On the contrary, Heard’s team argues that Depp abused her sexually and physically, claiming that his denials are not very credible as he was usually too drunk. Depp has already testified in the Fairfax trial, which has received massive media attention, revealing to the jury that he brought this suit to “clear his name.”
Amber Heard is now expected to address the jury later.
