Tom Holland’s Insecurity Regarding His Height
Ever since Tom Holland’s inception in Hollywood, his height has been a topic of conversation. Appearing alongside actors who appear comparatively taller than Holland, the 26-year-old British actor often gets trolled for his tiny appearance. Even the actor himself seems to be aware of the whispers and thus appears cautious of his height.
Admitting his insecurity about his height, Tom Holland seems to shield himself with his self-deprecating humor. Touching upon his character as Nathan Drake in Uncharted, Holland mentioned coming across articles and reviews that claimed, how startling it is to see Holland as a man. Obsessed with his 5 feet 8 height and physicality, the 26-year-old exposed his tricks of looking taller in photos.
Sitting for an interview with GQ in November 2021, Tom Holland touched upon his insecurity and admitted to trying and look taller. “I’d do this thing on red carpets where I would stand closer to the photographers than the people behind me [to look taller],” Holland admitted. Since he has no control over his height, the actor stated, “I cannot do anything about my height…I can put on more muscle”.
Tom Holland Address His Height Difference
Jokes about Tom Holland’s height have been circulating on the internet for a while. Being completely aware of the ridicule, Holland mentioned how it all started when he joined MCU. People failing to accept Tom Holland as Spider-Man especially because of his height, evidently bother the actor.
Appearing alongside 6-foot-plus co-stars like Chris Evans and Jon Favreau, the 26-year-old mentioned getting trolled. However, jokes about the British actor’s height gained momentum, especially after his 2017 movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.
