On the occasion of Spelman College’s 2022 homecoming, Angelina Jolie visited to meet her daughter Zahara (17) who is a freshman there at the moment. This was not the first time that Angelina Jolie has been seen on campus. Earlier in August, she was at the Spelman campus to drop off Zahara on her move-in day.
Just like the last time, students, fans, and even the faculty were taken by surprise by her visit. The trip ended up being memorable for both the fans and Angelina Jolie as well as Zahara. Many took pictures and videos on the occasion. And some even took to Twitter to share how surprised and happy they were after meeting Jolie.
Angelina Jolie’s Visit to Spelman College Once Again!
The homecoming weekend in Spelman College was made special by the appearance of mega movie star Angelina Jolie. The Tomb Raider actress took the opportunity to visit her daughter Zahara who is currently in her freshmen year. The occasion was special for Zahara herself as it is her first homecoming weekend at Spelman College. Fans of the Maleficent Actress we’re lucky to have had the opportunity to click pictures with her.
Many took to Twitter afterward to share their awe and excitement to have met Jolie on their college campus. One fan snapped a picture with the Salt actress, tweeting “Angelina Jolie just casually walking around with her daughter at Spelman during Homecoming,” Another explained how a selfie with Jolie came about.
According to the fan, he said, “Look I know you’re tryna be inconspicuous, so when we take this selfie just look down instead of me holding the camera up. Cool?’” before taking the selfie.
Jolie’s previous visit to Spelman College
Earlier in August, Jolie visited Spelman College for the first time to drop off her daughter Zahara. At the time, Jolie was asked how she felt about Zahara leaving home and going to college. She responded by saying that felt emotional and happy about it saying,
“I’m going to start crying if I talk about today. I haven’t started crying yet so… hopefully, I can hold it together.”
Julie also mentioned that she felt excited to be the mother of a Spelman student. Even Brad Pitt, Zahara’s father, and Jolie’s ex-husband gushed about how proud he felt of their smart daughter.
Pitt shared the same sentiment any parent has for their children once they grow up. He mentioned children growing up too quickly saying,
“It’s an exciting and beautiful time to find her way and pursue her interests. I’m so proud. Where does the time go, right? They grow up too fast. It brings a tear to the eye.”
Before that, he also shared that Zahara was going to flourish during her time in college. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been given shared custody over their 6 children by the court. The couple is officially divorced.
