Despite Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Blasting Them Left, Right, and Centre, Royal Family Maintain the ‘All is Well’ Facade With Extravagant Boxing Day Celebrations
The Royal Family has a plethora of odd customs that link them to centuries of history. Whether it be by exchanging gag gifts with one another, such as a leather toilet seat and a singing hamster, or by celebrating Christmas Eve as a tribute to their German heritage. However, the family receives a lot of flak for one tradition that usually occurs on Boxing Day every year. Hunting has always been a favorite pastime for the British royals, just like it was for many previous royals, whether they are shooting stags, grouses, or pheasants.
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022, Christmas for the Royal Family this year will undoubtedly have been very different, but King Charles III is certain to have continued most of their Christmas traditions. Well, it seems Prince Harry along with other royals are trying hard to maintain the ‘All is Well’ tag with Boxing Day celebrations.
Royal Family’s Boxing Day agenda includes family outings!
The royals have long enjoyed deerstalking on the estate, though it is unknown if any of the family members participated in the annual season, which runs from August 12 to December 10. The hunt is a method of reducing the population by eliminating old stags that will probably pass away during the winter. When Prince William was 14 years old, he shot his first stag, with which he was “delighted at the time.” Many members of the Royal family travel to the Norfolk estate of Sandringham each year to celebrate together, with the festivities starting on Christmas Eve. The Royals attend a formal dinner on December 24, after which they exchange gifts. On Christmas Day, they go to church together before enjoying a festive turkey dinner with all the fixings.
The family is served an amazing buffet that includes kedgeree, a dish made of flaked fish, rice, and hard-boiled eggs with cream and curry powder, along with bacon and eggs. The following day, they then engage in a number of activities before dispersing to different locations to visit other family members.
Royals maintain ‘All is Well’ with Boxing Day despite the bitter split in the family
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry anticipated Netflix documentary reflect the Sussexes’ latest attempt to reclaim the story surrounding their departure from royal life. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have discussed how their relationship with the British royal family broke down in the final episodes of their contentious Netflix documentary. The couple explained in the new episodes how, in their eyes, their position within the royal family became untenable as a result of relentless press coverage in Britain and repeated disregard for the couple’s well-being within palace walls.
Well, the Netflix controversy over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries is still ongoing, but the royals are trying hard to maintain the ‘all is well’ tag among them. For the most part, the Royals adhere to a strict schedule during the holidays. But for the family, this is a particularly sensitive time. Boxing Day is a time for spending time with family, and the day always starts with a lavish breakfast. Because of this, the family is dedicating their specific time to arrive at Sandringham ahead of the festivities.
