Despite Oscars Humiliation, Will Smith Shows Full Support for Spider-Man: No Way Home Star
Hollywood town is of friends and foes, the former more than the latter. Some start on movie set lunch breaks and others at award shows after parties. Whatever kind of relationship it is, it almost always makes rounds in the news. Two such Hollywood stars are Will Smith and Jamie Foxx. The two became friends on set in the 2001 biopic Ali. The two only have a scary amount of things in common, which can act as a solidifying factor for any relationship. The two seem to share a great bond. They did have a hiccup in their friendship at some point but they seem to have gotten over it as Smith has pulled through and claimed his support for Foxx on social media.

This gratitude-filled message received an outpour of love from the millions of well-wishers Foxx has. Will Smith also commented and said:
“Awww Man!! Who’s cuttin’ onions??”
“Your Light Is Needed ‘n Appreciated Right Now.”
Smith sent his “love” to Foxx. A bromance like this doesn’t come often.

Will Smith and Jamie Foxx Always Didn’t See Eye to Eye

The Ali co-stars haven’t always seen eye to eye. Their relationship was strained at some point in the past. But they seem to not hold any grudges. They surely had a rift when they took different stands when the 2015 Oscars didn’t have any black actors in nominations. Foxx took a slight dig at the Oscar boycott movement led by Smith, at the time and quite publically at that. He said:
“All these Oscar talks, I don’t even trip about that, I mean, what’s the big deal? I was sitting at home with my Oscar, like ‘What’s all the hubbub?’ ‘My friend said, “Are you mad?’ Um, kind of, but not really. I started calling Denzel [Washington], and we just Instagrammed our Oscars together.” Foxx also said “Act better,”
His last sentence was interpreted as a jab at Smith’s boycott Oscar initiative. But they’ve since praised each other multiple times. And there seems no bad blood between them.
