Did Loki Influence Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness won’t be shying away from the standards set by its title, similar to what Loki did before it.

Richie Palmer, who serves as the production manager for the forthcoming Marvel Studios movie, talked to the Disney twenty-three magazine about the various connections between Loki and Doctor Strange 2. Both not only deal with the MCU but were also surprisingly written by Michael Waldron, which lead to fans believing that they’ll be intimately connected. Palmer said the movie will not be disappointing when it is about exploring new worlds.

“We are going to be treading into new territories with this,” Palmer said. “At its heart, this is really a story about Doctor Strange entering the Multiverse for the first time. Through his experiences in Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans got to learn a little bit more about the Multiverse – but this movie is really where it’s going to get cracked wide open.”

While the movie will have many concepts, Palmer revealed it won’t be spending much  to catch audiences up on all the sci-fi concepts. “It was really exciting. We found that we didn’t need to spend a lot of time recapping the rules; we felt the audience would get a lot of that by now,” Palmer said. “With Michael, we could jump into telling a good story within what’s already been established.”

Apart from the massive stakes, which includes new villains, some surprise appearances, and well, the introduction of America Chavez in the MCU. Palmer even said the film will focus on the character first, something that Loki even received praise for.
