Ashton Kutcher has found himself in a hot mess by trying to help Danny Masterson.

Hollywood is a place full of secrets and hidden stories. Hatchets don’t always get buried and are dug out when need be. A thing about secrets is that they don’t always stay hidden. Recently, Ashton Kutcher’s connection to the 2001 Ashley Ellerin murder case has resurfaced.

The actor is facing backlash for supporting his That 70s Show co-star and longtime friend Danny Masterson, who has been sentenced to thirty years in prison. More terrifying than that is what this gesture of friendship can cost Kutcher.

Ashton Kutcher has become a household name in American cinema. He started his career in the 90s with the portrayal of Michael Kelso on That 70’s Show. That’s where he first met his now wife Mila Kunis and close friend Danny Masterson.

In the month of May, Masterson was convicted of two r-pes. He has been sentenced to thirty years of jail time, fifteen each.

Ahead of the sentence, Kutcher wrote a letter to request a light sentence for Masterson praising him for his exceptional character. Kutcher went as far as labeling his former co-star as a role model. Sadly for Kutcher, this confidential request of his didn’t stay that way.

The letter got leaked leading to Kutcher getting bashed for his double standards. Trying to protect a r-pist while being an advocate for s-x trafficking prevention is not a good look.

Both Kutcher and his wife, Mila Kunis, explained themselves and apologized.

Chrissie Carnell Bixler, who is one of Masterson’s accusers, was infuriated with Kutcher’s attempt to ease things out for his role model. Bixler posted a message on her Instagram story about having some career-ending secrets of Kutcher.

Bixler dated Masterson around the early 2000s. The letter prompted her to post a story on her Instagram which reads

“Dear Ashton, I know the secrets your ‘role model’ keeps for you. Ones that would end you. Did you forget I was there? You were on speaker phone that night and you called Danny on February 21, 2001. I hear everything. I heard the plan. In my opinion, you’re just as sick as your ‘mentor’”.

It should be noted that February 21, 2001, was the night Ashley Ellerin was murdered. She was supposed to go on a date that night. Sadly, she couldn’t make it. Her date that night was none other than Ashton Kutcher.

Michael Gargiulo who was on trial for having murdered Ellerin, Kutcher was one of the key witnesses of the case. As per E! News, Kutcher stated in his testimony that after multiple unanswered calls Kutcher made to Ellerin, he decided to go to her house. But the door was not answered either. He then peered through the window and saw, which, according to him, were the wine stains on the carpet.

Ellerin aged 22, was found dead the following morning by her roommate. And Gargiulo was convicted of Ellerin’s murder.

Bixler’s Instagram story has stirred up the matter which was assumed to be closed. Remains to be seen where things go from here.
