“Didn’t want to torture the poor guy”: Jennifer Lopez Banned Ex-Husband from Watching Her Seduce $77.5M Movie Co-Star
Apart from being a world-famous singer, Jennifer Lopez is also a great actor. And throughout her career in the entertainment industry, she has had many roles. Lopez once shared that romcoms were her favorite genre of movie to work in. And sure enough, many of her films are based on romance.
While opening up about carrying out “Intimate Scenes” in a film, JLo revealed all the steps that go into it before and during the filming. And back when she had been married to her ex-husband Marc Anthony, the singer banned him from visiting the movie sets due to the involvement of intimate scenes.

Throughout her movie career, Jennifer Lopez has shot many intimate scenes. And just like any other actor, she also had moments where she felt uncomfortable and therefore had to learn where to draw lines. Moreover, she also didn’t like the idea of her partner watching her engage in sensual and intimate scenes on movie sets.
In a past interview with Radio Free, Lopez revealed that while working on The Back-Up Plan (2010), she banned her ex-husband from the set. At the time, she had been married to her ex-husband Marc Anthony. And as she had to take part in intimate scenes with her co-star Alex O’Loughlin, Lopez did not want her partner to be around to watch that. She said,
“I didn’t want to torture the poor guy. He shouldn’t be watching when I’m seducing another man on a kitchen table”
While she naturally does not like to do such scenes, the singer has a way to prepare herself before getting into it. According to her, she carefully observes every shot the director was going for. And in that way, Lopez could easily carry out intimate scenes even if it felt awkward.

Jennifer Lopez once opened up about her film choices and projects. Talking to Radio Free in 2010, JLo said that she felt movie projects came to her at the right moments. For instance, when she had been looking for a rom-com project, she got The Back-Up Plan. To her, it felt perfect just like many of her previous movies.
Furthermore, the Maid in Manhattan star also shared that most of the movies were indicative of what she had been going through around the time. Therefore, in a way, she always ended up with a character that she could relate to on a personal level.
