A concept art earlier revealed Doctor Strange and Iron Man switching their costumes. However, now the actual snapshot of the scene has been disclosed thanks to the movie’s writers.
Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the role of Doctor Strange, is shown to be wearing the Iron Man armor in the photo.
What does the photo reveal?
The behind the scene shot features Robert Downey Jr. standing alongside Cumberbatch. With a green screen in the background, a worn-out Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange is seen sporting the Iron Man suit.
The writers of Avengers: Infinity War, Christopher Markus, and Stephen McFeely unveiled the image on Twitter. The duo was taking part in a quarantine watch party on the second anniversary of the Marvel movie. A lot of MCU stars, like Chris Pratt and the Russo Brothers have also joined in on the party.
The scene which never made it to the movie
The scene where Doctor Strange dons the Iron Man suit would have happened when Iron Man, along with Spider-Man, attempt to rescue the Sorcerer Supreme from Ebony Maw.
Stark lent doctor Strange the suit to protect the Eye of Agamotto and ultimately escape from Maw’s ship. However, this movie shot never made it to the final cut of the Infinity War movie.
What more is there in the concept art?
The concept art related to the two superheroes swapping their suits came to light last year with Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame – The Art of the Movie. Strange and Tony Stark are always shown to be at loggerheads, mainly due to their huge egos. However, the concept art featured Strange donning the Mark 50 armor while Stark floated around in Strange’s Cloak of Levitation, which belongs to the Sorcerer Supreme.
